2000 Miles In 2 Days

Dunnabridge, South Dartmoor.

It was wonderful to see and hear these old beauties grace our roads in such numbers and a real pleasant change to the all the wind tunnel creations which are now sadly the norm. The co-driver is a work colleague, friend and fellow photographer Martin Lovell who told me about the run and the charity they were raising money for. The driver and owner of this wonderful 1974 Mallard Blue TR6 Laurence Jones whom I met for the first time during a short stop at Dartmeet is another wonderful chap and great laugh, even after nearly two days behind the wheel. I am not sure if the ‘Reliability Run’ should be renamed ‘Human Endurance Run’ as the route covers in excess of 2000 miles in two days, how they manage to keep going is beyond me.
