The Penny Has Dropped

Online Shop.

I am currently working on adding Ecommerce to my website and initial developments are all positive. The system I am currently looking into has little in the way of time consuming admin in the control panel, but as always time will tell.

The Grass Is…

Appledore, Mid Devon.

This scene caught my eye whilst driving along the A38 towards Tiverton. This was shot from the edge of the main A38 which proves you don’t have to travel far to capture an image, in fact I could have shot from the open car window whilst parked in the layby.

In all I had stopped no more than five minutes before jumping back in the car and driving off.

Beckamoor Cross

Windy Post, South Dartmoor.

It had been a while since I last went on a shoot with my friend and fellow photographer Mike Bartholomew. I text Mike early evening last night hoping for a glorious sunset somewhere up on Dartmoor but once again our hopes were quickly dashed as the cloud moved in once again. (more…)

Ferryman’s Cottage

Exeter Ship Canal, South Devon.

This old cottage which is sits on the narrow strip of land between the Exeter Ship Canal and the Exe Estuary dates back to 1832 and became somewhat run down in recent years before being refurbished in 2010. The cottage which is available to rent now also doubles as a cafe between 16th June and the August Bank Holiday.

I have been meaning to visit here to photograph the cottage for sometime and was a little disappointed with the weather when I arrived on Monday evening. (more…)

Star Cottage

Penearth Farm, Cornwall.

Laid back on the sofa with a glass of cider, relaxing as the lounge air fills with the unmistakable sounds and smell of the real wood fire in the cosy cottage. What is this to do with photography I here you ask? Well to be honest nothing, but it was what I was doing at the time this image was taken. I had setup my camera up close to the corner of the cow shed, final adjustments and checks made it was now ready to take the continuous exposures needed.  Shutter locked on the remote and camera started I was now set to retire to the warmth of the farm cottage for the next hour or so. A Tawny Tale

Penarth Farm, Cornwall.

This is one of a number of images shot during a family holiday at Penearth Farm in Cornwall, well to be honest our third holiday at this location and hoping to return a little nearer Christmas for a short break.

The farm is owned and ran by Christina & Andy who are fantastic hosts and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We all really enjoyed our break on the farm especially cooking the full english in the morning on the Rayburn including eggs collected from the farm chickens laid that morning. (more…)
