Rock On!

Bantham Beach, South Devon

Hurricane Bertha was due to hit Devon & Cornwall this weekend but the region escaped most of troubles but still experienced high winds and rain. Down at Bantham beach on the Southwest coast the high winds were creating swells up to eight feet in height and a tremendous amount of saltwater spray which proved difficult conditions for photography. I must have used more Lee Filters cleaning fluid on this one shoot than I have in the last 6 months.

The big swells, saltwater spray & high winds made for an interesting and challenging shoot with my friend Richard but I feel the effort was worth it. This is an area I haven’t visited very much and somewhere I would like to visit again in the near future as I feel there is a lot of potential and compositions at this wonderful location.
